Oh dear. Thanks for reporting that. The lock files should be removed after a while, but that got accidentally removed during some refactoring. :/

Can you check it with: https://bitbucket.org/olt/mapproxy/get/37bc2e65dc82.tar.gz

I can release a second beta today.
