For openSUSE users (from terminal as root):

# zypper -ar 
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Application:/Geo/openSUSE_12.2/ GEO
# zypper refresh
# zypper install python-mapproxy

Alternatively from One-Click Installer:
http://software.opensuse.org/package/python-mapproxy?search_term=python-mapproxy
