[MapProxy] Google Static Maps API

Hello list,

We are using mapproxy to cache google tiles in the format:

http://khm0.googleapis.com/kh?v=125&x=1&y=4&z=3

Since we have a contract with Google, I contacted them to ask if this was
correct and allowed.

Google responded with:

"If you were downloading our tiles directly from
http://khm0.googleapis.com/kh?v=125&x=1&y=4&z=3
you were not using any API. I'm afraid we can't help you to get those URLs
back to work. In fact, even though you could figure out the new URL format
and fix your proxy, we strongly recommend against it, because that is
- in violation of our Terms of Use
- totally not supported
- likely to get your proxy blocked out of the entire service
So please be sure to use only the documented APIs to use imagery, and let's
make it clear that "use imagery" does not include (or entitle to) download
individual tiles and store them, anywhere. If you need a static image
please use the Static Maps API, and if you need an interactive map please
use the Maps JavaScript API v3"

I looked in to the best alternative because we really need caching since
some users do not have internet access. Would it be possible to use the
static map api? And are centerX, centerY and zoom available as parameters
in the configuration?

Kind regards,

Milo van der Linden
