[geojquery] Starting point for GeoJQuery

Hi fellow enthusiasts of OpenLayers and jQuery,

 

I have a question concerning this project: It is said in the wiki page of
geojquery that "GeoJQuery should not be a wrapper of GeoExt/HsLayers based
on jQuery". wouldn't this be a good starting point implement the same basic
(and not so basic) widgets already provided by GeoExt?
