The best use (IMO) would be to write a JADE server that provides a 
network
interface to arbitrary RDBMS.

MapServer -- HTTP --> JADE Server --- HTTP ---> RDBMS

Like you said, we can treat JADE as if it is a PostGIS database, yes?
