[Mapserver-dev] Point Symbols

Hi,

I have a question about point symbols in Mapserver.  What draws faster:  a 
point represented by a Mapserver drawn symbol, or a point represented by a 
png of that same symbol?

Another way to ask that question is, what draws faster:  100 towns each 
represented by a SIZE 5 black circle (with SYMBOL "circle"), or 100 towns 
represented by png's of a SIZE 5 black circle?
