hello,my friend
I compiled mapserver 4.2.1 on my win2000 pc,but it seems error at running at tha apache2 server.
I will tell you how I compile it,so anybody can tell me any wrong step?
My Server: Windows2000 advance Server (with sp4)
Visual Studio 6 (with sp5)
(1) step 1: I download gdwin32.zip from http://www.boutell.com/gd/http/gdwin32.zip. And unzip it to c:\projects\gdwin32
So I can run c:\projects\gdwin32\makemsvcimport.bat,then get the file bgd.exp and bgd.lib
Question 1: Which gd release edition should I use:Gdwin32.zip or gd-2.0.28.zip?If I should use source code ,how could I compile it on windows?
Question 2:gd.lib?or bgd.lib?
As I say before,If run makemsvcimport.bat directly ,I will get bgd.exp and bgd.lib. So I must edit mapserver¡¯s nmake.opt in line 369:
GD_LIB= $(GD_DIR)/bgd.lib \
Is it right???
And I only get the bgd.dll from the gdwin32.zip, Should I rename it from bgd.dll to gd.dll? Is It necessary?
