I realize that there are still lots of open bugs in bugzilla, but to be
honest I never expected that we would be able to address them all. From
my point of view, the software is in great shape already, and a large
part of the bugs that haven't been addressed are either missing
information or testcase to reproduce, or are minor problems (relatively
speaking) that affect only a few users operating in very specific
contexts. Unfortunately for those users we'll never have enough time and
resources to address all those small issues.

My plan was to concentrate on the most important bugs within the time we
have available for the 4.4 release, and I think we're mostly done with
that. The rest will *possibly* be addressed in a future release if they
become high enough priority. (Hint to users reading this: if a bug is
high priority for you, keep in mind that by funding a developer to fix
it you can increase your chances of seeing it fixed.)

BTW, to help scheduling bugs for future releases, I just added a new
"4.6 release" target milestone in bugzilla. So for bugs that can't make
it in 4.4 we have 2 options:

- Set target milestone to "4.6 release" if we know we'll be able to
address the issue in 4.6 (or 5.0, whatever we call it)
or
- Set target milestone to "FUTURE" if this bug would be a nice to have
but we don't know if/when we'll get to it.
