Interesting Algorithm for label placement

That's very interesting.

I'm working on a side project of implementing a more robust text labeling
engine that will implement smooth path-following labels (not splined),
auto-expanding label widths,  and hopefully automatic text wrapping.  All
of those aren't too difficult, but finding a way to display every label
is, so it's always nice to see new methods and implementations.
