OK.  I'll do that.  I've created
<URL:http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1179> with a
complete patch to enable more warnings from GCC.  The patch in
bugzilla fixes the problem of C++ not supporting one of the warning
flags, and also fixes the build to use CFLAGS for C code and CXXFLAGS
for C++ code.
