Curved labels

I've been thinking about it but have not done anything yet. I'd kinda like to see if the Autodesk additions to GD make it in to the 2.0.34 release.  Bob Bray said they had to make some API breaking changes to the Freetype support to make that work.

I am also playing with Cairo as a potential way to get this (and other things) done.

The requests for curved text labels seem to be resurfacing again. Has 
anyone started working or looking into this yet?
