Java MapScript 'make test' error

I am trying out Java MapScript and I encountered the following error when I
run 'make test',

examples/QueryByAttributeUnicode.java:23: cannot find symbol
symbol  : constructor shapeObj(edu.umn.gis.mapscript.MS_LAYER_TYPE)
location: class edu.umn.gis.mapscript.shapeObj
                        shapeObj shp = new shapeObj( layer.getType()  );
                                       ^
1 error
make: *** [test] Error 1

Effectivly, the shapeObj does not have a constructor with argument
MS_LAYER_TYPE.

I am building using the following versions, mapserver CVS, freetype-2.1.10,
gdal-1.3.1, libpng-1.2.10, zlib-1.2.3, gd-2.0.33, jpeg-6b, proj-?. Using the
guide, http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/docs/howto/javamapscript

Has anyone (Umberto) done this lately?
