summary on server-side SLD support

Hi list,

a lot of discussion, in my opinion the wanted behaviour would be:

1) new keyword SLD which can reference a file or url
2) classes are loaded into layer but are immutable (cannot be changed, use a
flag for this)
3) when saving the MAP object, the generated classes are not saved and only
the SLD keyword plus its value is saved.

I think if you link in a style from an external SLD document (in a Mapscript
session eg with Chameleon), you want to take into account changes in this
SLD document into your map image. That's one of the points of working with
an external document for styles.

Is this also the perception of the others, i.e. can we agree on this?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Bart
