Steve,

  Would we be able to remove all/some of the calls to 
msAlphaGD2AGG/msAlphaAGG2GD at the end of the agg changes ? Would we 
sill need them for rasters/wms ?  I am inquiring on this since this 
increases considerably the drawing time on out test maps.
