What do you think of this?
http://www.worldwindcentral.com/wiki/TileService
It would end up looking pretty ugly:
?map=/foo/bar.map&mode=tileservice&interface=map&level=1&x=1&y=2
But:
- It would still be compatible with Google
- It would be usable by OpenLayers (with the Worldwind layer type)
- It could also be used by Worldwind
