I would add the increased SOS 1.0.0 support. We are not quite CITE compliant yet, but it's worth mentioning, IMHO.

I agree, the buglist is high. Can we alter the date(s)?

Subject: [mapserver-dev] 5.2 Release Plan

Hi all: I've copied the work Dan did for 5.0 and updated it for 5.2. It's at:

  http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/development/release_plans/mapserver_5_2/release_plan

Many of the RFCs referenced were included because they said they were planned for 5.2 but I don't know if they were actually implemented. Please let me know. My work on RFC 36 is 95% complete so it's ready to go for this release. The tiling work Paul did looks to be there, SQL Server support and the WCS 1.1.x support are in as well, just not sure about the others. If folks have suggestions about features to highlight please speak up. Some that come to mind:

  - fuzzy AGG label outlines
  - performance fixes for shapefiles
  - style-level opacity (AGG)
  - new WFS support (?)
  - WCS 1.0 compliance (?)
  - pre-clip label point computation
  - extent/bounds (e.g. shpext, mapext) tag attribute handling

Now, we supposedly have a feature freeze at the end of the day tomorrow. There are still a boat load of tickets out there (150 non-documentation/website). That seems high to me, too high to release a beta next week. What do folks think?

We need to make adjustments and then approve this plan.

Steve
