Hi Andrea,

from OGC's WCS standards working group I can report that several
extensions are currently discussed and will be available as public RFCs
sooner or later: CRS, GeoTIFF, Scaling, Interpolation, Range subsetting,
netCDF, JPEG2000, etc.

The CRS extension has been finished by the SWG some time ago and should
really be released soon. It defines the two additional parameters
"subsettingCrs" and "outputCrs" for GetCoverage requests which, as you
correctly noticed, are added to the wcs:Extension element. Unfortunately
it is a bit complicate to guess release dates, seems like OGC management
has a high workload.

I guess you're aware of the recently released corrigendum versions of
WCS core 2.0.1 and GMLCOV 1.0.1 including schema updates. A KVP
extension corrigendum is currently under vote ending mid September. Btw.
also the SOAP extension would need a loving hand but it seems like
nobody is really interested.

Regarding XML schemas, naturally the final schemas are only available
once OGC releases them at the official repository [1]. However, I try to
provide also work-in-progress versions (at least the ones I'm working
on) here [2]. Please note and be warned that this is my personal
playground and nothing official at all.

Am I right that you're implementing WCS 2.0 in GeoServer? Anyway, it's
great to see increasing interest in WCS.

cu
Stephan
