Hi Thomas,

My -0 was not intended to be a veto, but more to trigger a discussion 
which it did, so please go ahead. Given the broad support for the new 
scheme, I'm willing to turn it into a +0 if that sounds better... I do 
see the value in the change but I want to keep the backwards 
compatibility flag raised.  :)
