At least for the few things I had a hand the doc look fine. There really is some great new stuff. Couple of comments:
- Maybe we should have an TOC at the top?
- I’m not positive ANNOTATION layers can be removed yet without creating a list of specific use/test cases. I could create a before -> after syntax page.
- Unix build/install procedure (IMHO) is a major (or at least minor) new feature that will impact how folks will install multiple versions on the same box. Should we provide guidance?

feeling somewhat alone here... :)
Here's an updated release doc: http://ci.mapserver.org/job/docsmaster/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/build/html/en/development/announce/6-2.html . If you believe your new feature is insufficiently/incorrectly documented or promoted, please be my guest and amend.
cheers,
thomas

Devs,
I have started a release document [1] for our planned wednesday release. This is still a work in progress, and I will be working on the areas marked "TODO thomas" in the coming days. There are however a number of points that I would need help with, so please have a go at filling in your respective parts.
The ordering of the new features and the major/minor classifications are a first stab, and are open for discussion/modification.
regards,
thomas
