[mapserver-dev] Label positioning around points

I don't know that I'd even support reverting at this point since all the regression tests use the current settings. There's been a ticket regarding user setting of these params for a few years, I think I even created it, just not enough interest or energy to make it happen. IMHO it's not a giant deal, probably could just use processing directive to specify the order based on feature type.

So, short term just hack the source to change the order. It's very localized.

Long term, figure out how to support user defined orders.

Steve

Correct, but IMO it's too late to add configurable order in 6.2, and this will require a champion with interest/time/funding to make it happen in a future release.

The only thing we can safely do at this time for 6.2 is revert to the
6.0 order *if* there is general agreement that the new order is wrong and/or in the interest of maintaining backwards compatibility. But even dong that is kind of late since those who tested the betas were using the new order.
