Instead of
     CONNECTIONTYPE CONTOUR

how about using
     PROCESSING "TYPE=CONTOUR"
or
     PROCESSING "TYPE=DEM2CONTOUR"

to allow the CONNECTIONTYPE to specify a connection to a database, etc
