This is good stuff.  

My only comment is that I want to run Map Server in Amazon.  I mention that
because when you do that then you do not need (or want) to specify account
related information such as id or secret.  In this case you want to pick
these up from the execution environment.  This is the standard programming
pattern when using the AWS SDK.
