That sounds good! I have also had inconsistent behavior with transparency in MS7.0. I showed it to Tomas B at the code sprint in Paris, but I haven't managed to produce a good example when it happens.

Hi Thomas,

Thank you will do so.
I'll also review the code tomorrow to see if this is something trivial to fix.

Best regards,

Tamas

Tamas,
Can you open an issue for this and include a complete mapfile + request to reproduce please. I'll have a look but am afk for another week and a half.
Regards,
Thomas

Hi All,

As far as I see the layer opacity setting is not saved by mapserver to the map file in the 7-0 branch, though it is saved in the master branch.

In the 7-0 branch , when I set the opacity in the map file manually as follows:
LAYER

  COMPOSITE
      OPACITY 70
  END
...
END

the application is crashing when loading that map file. This is because the temp image created has null map reference and the truetype font (hashtable) lookup causes the crash.

Any ideas to fix this?

Thanks,

Tamas
