[mapserver-users] MapScript and PHP 4.0.6

Hi Everyone,

There seems to be an incompatibility between the PHP/MapScript module
and PHP 4.0.6 which causes crashes or odd error situations, most of the
time with the map->getLayer() call.  This happens on both Windows and
Unix.

We are going to look into this, but in the meantime, you should avoid
using the PHP/MapScript module with PHP 4.0.6 ... you can use PHP
4.0.4pl1 or 4.0.5 which were both working fine.

Note that backtracking to older versions of MapServers such as 3.4 or
3.3.011 with PHP 4.0.6 is not likely to resolve the problem.
