[mapserver-users] onclick -> PHP MapScript

I think somebody asked this the other day...but I can't find it in the
archive.

I am using checkboxes to control the display of map layers. Currently, if I
check a layer, the only way that it will display is if I either hit a
"refresh" button or click on the map. I would like to use the "onclick"
option of the checkbox to call a PHP function...

Is there any way to do this w/o JavaScript? OTH, can someone tell me how to
call a PHP function from w/in JavaScript?
