[mapserver-users] what's the meaning of ""$BCT(B""?

Sorry for my interruption, but I can't find the answer to this question even after a whole day's work. Would you please tell me what the meaning of "$BCT (B"  and "$BCU (B"? I must make sense of it because I am reading a technical paper which uses it several times.
