Oops. Made a mistake earlier. A circle must be defined by a a minimum bounding rectangle. That is, 2 points that define the smalled square that can contain it. We have to use this definition so that extent based searches of shapefiles etc... identify these features as candidates for drawing or query. The method metioned in the previous email would result in misses in many cases.
