[mapserver-users] How works variables (p.E. shpmidx, shpmidy)

In my Application, doesn't work ...mapxy=[shpmidx]+[shpmidy]... in URL  - which I must consider? I seem to have here a basic understanding problem. Thus I cannot implement the tip of steve (http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/majordom_lists/archives/mapserver-users/html/0109/msg00028.html)

I use mapserver 3.4 on WIN NT.
