You should look at the gmap example by DM Solutions it's at
http://www2.dmsolutions.ca/mapserver/dl/gmap-ms35-release.tar.gz

For that to work you should define METADATA with the fields you want to be 
displayed for the layers you want to query.

And don't forget to set a TEMPLATE for each layer you
want to be queried.

(This is the next thing i'll put on the by example HOWTO).
