[mapserver-users] Installation problem

I am new to mapserver and have just tried to install it for the first time.
I installed all the required modules.

After installation..... after typing ./mapserv   - to check my installation
I get the following error.

 - error while loading shared libraries: libproj.so cannot share object
file: no such file or directory.

Is this because I haven't configured PROJ.4 probably. Can someone help!
