[mapserver-users] Query

Hi

I've been checking the sites that use Mapserver
without much luck. I'm looking for an example of how
to query a database so that the items returned are
highlited on the map. Is it possible?

For example on a forest cover layer i would like the
user to have a dialog box where they would enter
(something like) 

SELECT FROM "L_FC" ALL WHERE type="fir"

And all the polygons where the column TYPE contains
"fir" would be highlited or changed a colour i choose.

I would think it is possible?
