[mapserver-users] Nice satellite images rendering in MS

Hi,

I am putting up satellite images (Landsat) and shaded relief images in MS.
Used Erdas to process them and exported it
to Geotiff. The rendered maps is quite poor quality as it can't seem to
display the full range of  the colors.

Here is some of the methods i tried to improve;
1. output the MS images to jpeg rather than gif. slight improvement. also
increased the quality to 90 but same output plus a 130k file output.

2. haven't tried this but has anybody tried using Erdas lan format or maybe
i should convert the erdas images to jpeg world files.

I'm open to suggestions.
