Hi Steve,

Thanks. I use shpdump to dump a shp file and it says
------------------------------------------------
Shapefile Type: Polygon # of Shapes: 51

File Bounds: ( -178.215, 18.925,3.75455e+072,0)
          to ( -66.970, 71.407,0,0)
Shape:0 (Polygon) nVertices=276, nParts=3
   Bounds:( -124.731, 45.543, 0, 0)
       to ( -116.918, 49.000, 0, 0)
      ( -122.401, 48.225, 0, 0) Ring
      ( -122.462, 48.229, 0, 0)
      ( -122.453, 48.129, 0, 0)
[...]
--------------------------------------------------
Am I wrong if I say these numbers are longitute and attitute ? What is
the relationship between extent and long/lat ?

Thanks again,

Vu
