hello List,

indeed i did read every mail.

To tell the truth, i believed that what i have right now will do the job.
Both the php script and the europe.map file are very different from the
original example, but there is still the same image resulting from it.

What else does it need to display the names on screen?

By the way:
As you might have noticed i am no programmer.
Especially i am not familar with Objects, Constructors, Members, Methods and
what might be there else.

Even when it is the right way to learn, i do not think that it should not be
that hard.

I am willing to publish all files at the mapserver homepage as an example
when it works.
But first is has to work.

Again thanks for the help you provided.

Great your making progress.

Now you need to read the posts over the last two/three days with the
subject "Drawing features dynamically" which explains exactly how to do
what you are asking.
