[mapserver-users] query with setfilter

Hi
I have the follow problem:
I do it setfilter, and the map picture is just the filter, then I do it  

$layer->setFilter("([CAMPO]=$var)");
$layer->querybyattributes(MS_SINGLE);

and the map picture is all, what's  happened with filter?
is more if I do it
$iRes=$layer->getnumresult();

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: getnumresult() in 
/www/htdocs/comuna/Index.phtml on line 41

I probed with query before setfilter but said me is not found filter
