Tyler,
The Canadian Forest Service / Natural Resources Canada is using the
MapServer product along with the province of British Columbia Ministry of
Sustainable Resource Management. These servers are part of the Canadian
Council of Forest Ministers (CCFM) National Forest Information System (NFIS)
infrastructure. NRCan/CFS/GeoConnections has been working and sponsoring DM
Solutions in their work on some of the OGC work on the UMN product.
The NFIS project office is located in Victoria, British Columbia and we
would be happy to talk with you about our experience with the product and
other initiatives.
Thanks
Brian.

Subject: [mapserver-users] MapServer in British Columbia and Canada
Hi, kinda off topic, but I would like to get a feel for anyone who is out
there on the list that may be using MapServer within Canada, specifically
in B.C. would be nice. Perhaps you could briefly share what kind of
application you are working towards and then likeminded groups could touch
base with each other better.
I'll start the ball rolling.
We are a forest management company in Williams Lake, B.C. and we've got
tons of distributed data throughout our Region. I'm hoping to serve up our
spatial data and hopefully via web feature server functionality, open up
the possibility for distributed management and editing of data.
