[mapserver-users] raster creation & use

It is the case that none of the rasters I generate register correctly.
There is something about my basic method which is clearly flawed.  

 Will the declaration for the projection in the mapfile result in poor
 registration?  
 
 Are there other considerations for producing raster layers using mapscript?

 Is there a sounder method for creating a set of tiles useful as
 rasters?
