Jeff -

Are there indeed images and world files there? What are the world files named? How did you create the tile index shapefile? No answers, just questions!

Subject: [mapserver-users] Problem with TILEINDEX for tifs

Hi all,

I'm trying to use a tileindex for a group of USGS quad tifs. However, I'm
getting the following error:

readWorldFile(): Unable to access file. Unable to open world file for
reading.

I'm a bit stumped. The 'Location' field in the tileindex shapefile has the
full path to the images...'/var/www/html/data/quads'. However, the map file
and the other data files exist in a different directory tree under html.
Does the location path in the tileindex have to be a relative path under the
SHAPEPATH directory identified in the map file?

Does the fact that the error refers to an attempt to read the world file
mean that mapserver was able to find the image but not the world file?
