[mapserver-users] Return mapxy

Easiest way would be to do a query, ignoring the query results. You
could set up a dummy shapefile that contains one polygon that covers
your entire area of interest so there's no threat of missing it. The
mouse click is then available to you as [mayxy] and probably also
individually as well although I don't remember the substituion strings.
You could use URL templates to pass that information on directly to a
helper application that modifies the database.

Is it possible to return only the xy coordinates of a user click
without
redrawing the map? We would like to return the xy coordinates and
insert
them into a database. We can do this already, but with a combination
of
zoom and javascript.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
