Hi,

You can accomplish this with the mapplet Java class provided on the UMN
website.  If you check out the mapplet howto, there is a section/pointer on
how to do this.

You can also use DHTML to get to this sort of thing, which may become a bit
cumbersome with regard to cross-browser compatibility.
