[mapserver-users] OT: Cataloguing masses of spatial data

That is precisely why I've been building my database of spatial data (not
to be confused with a spatial database) - was because other colleagues
needed access to information, or at least needed to know if we had certains
types of information. By providing a web (PHP) front end and a searching
mechanism it should be fairly simple to at least find data based on
keywords. I too would like to hear more of other peoples' thoughts on the
concept.

Hi Tyler,
I've been asked by my orgaz. to look into search engine capabilities to
search for images, data etc. within my site (DB) and would like to know
other's thoughts if it's appropriate on this list.
