[Mapserver-users] Loading data from another server

I believe that it is more a limitation of the protocols and programs than a lack of examples.  

Take a step back for a second.  Perhaps your solution is not the best way of attacking the problem.  There are hundreds of MapServer installations (test and production) and people have come up with ways to get around many challenges.  

What do you want your MapServer application to do?  

What is your purpose for splitting the data from the server installation?  (or what problem are you trying to solve by doing this?)

What hardware and software platforms are you running on?

Your answers up to this point have been pretty vague, the more specific you are, the better people will be able to help you.
