compiling Gd lib in MSVC++ workspace

Hi Mapsters
I want  to compile an SDE version of Mapserv 4 and have managed to
compile all supporting libraries except GD. I am having trouble
compiling gd.c. I have used a makefile for NT without any success.
Can someone post me an example of a visualc project file so I can
see where I am going wrong. Alternatively, any other instructions will
be greatfully received.
