wcs data preparation - conversion from Unsigned to Signed Int

Hi listers,

I have converted some SRTM (.hgt) files in 16-bit
signed int to GeoTiff 16-bit unsigned int.
Does any of you know any way of converting a 16-bit
unsigned GeoTIFF in a 16-bit signed one?
