compilation error

hello

../configure \
--with-proj \
--with-ogr \
--with-gd=/usr/local/gd-2.0.33  \
--with-gdal=/usr/local/gdal-1.2.6  \
--with-png  \
--with-php=/usr/local/php-5.0.4/

it gives an error about gdal like this:

checking if GDAL support requested... configure: error:
'/usr/local/gdal-1.2.6/' is not an executable.  Make sure you use
--with-gdal=/path/to/gdal-config

how can I solve this problem ?
