map style question

Sorry for the newcomer question, but I'd really
appreciate it if someone could help me out. I need to
know what fields to use in order to color streets as
done in the below NYC map. How are the main streets &
avenues being identified as distinct from regular
streets? Also, what field is being used for the label
(that gives full streetname)
