Dear Sir; i am trying to install map server on winxp machine using Msys and mingu . all of the projects --"GDAL,GD,PNG,MAPSERVER" in the same hierarchy on c:\projects I wrote configuration.sh like this ./configure --with-gd=../../gdwin32/ \ --with-png=../../libpng-1.2.8/ \ --with-zlib=../../zlib/ \ --with-freetype=../../freetype-2.1.10/ \ --with-threads but it gives this massege MapServer Version from map.h: '4.8.0-beta1' configure: checking where FreeType 2.x is installed... checking for FT_Init_FreeType in -lfreetype... no freetype-config or libfreetype cannot be found, possibly needed for GD configure: checking where Zlib is installed... checking for zlibVersion in -lz... no Zlib (libz) library cannot be found, possibly needed for GD configure: checking where PNG is installed... checking for png_init_io in -lpng... no PNG
(libpng) library cannot be found, possibly needed for GD configure: checking whether we should include JPEG support... checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... no libjpeg not found. JPEG support not included, possibly needed for GD. configure: checking where libXpm is installed... checking for XpmFreeXpmImage in -lXpm... no XPM (libXpm) library cannot be found, possibly needed for GD configure: checking where libiconv is installed... checking for iconv_open in -lc... no checking for libiconv_open in -liconv... no libiconv library cannot be found, possibly needed for GD configure: checking for GD 2.0.16 or higher... checking for gdFontCacheSetup in -lgd... no configure: error: Could not find gd.h or libgd.a/libgd.so in /c/projects/mapserv er-4.8.0-beta1/../../gdwin32/. Make sure GD 2.0.16 or higher is compiled before calling configure. You may also get this error if you didn't specify the approp ! riate location for one of GD's
dependencies (freetype, libpng, libjpeg or libico I want to know how to compile it. i have compile it with vc enviroment and i just edit the nmake file - the GD lib path. Best Regard Eng. Salah Al Jubeh
