Ugly dashed lines

Hi list

I'm not very happy with my dashed lines. I use the following symbol for
dashed lines:

SYMBOL
        NAME 'dashed'
        TYPE ELLIPSE
        POINTS 1 1 END
        FILLED true
        STYLE 10 10 END
END

I use that symbol together with symbolscale. When I zoom in I get quite ugly
results. I attached an example.
Is there a solution to get nicer results? The spaces between the lines
should remain.
