tif picture becomes monocromatic in mapserver (png output)

I've several layers in my mapserver, maps in tiff format and shapes,
all with color support.
Now I've added an orthophoto (tiff format too) colored in the source
but when displayed by mapserver it, and just it, become monochromatic.
The output of mapserver is png.

Can someone explain me why it happens please?
