Reference map and Scalebar make windows crash

Hi to all,
I'm having difficulties to make mapserver 4.4.1 on windows to create
reference map and scalebar.
I have used mapserver for years on linux and i'm trying to move a demo
on windows but
with reference and scalebar , mapserver  crashes continiusly.
Anybody has an idea?
